The Thames Apron Dress is the dress you dream of on the sweltering hot, humid days in Hawaii. It's a completely effortless garment. Slip it on and tie it up. It has a straight, boxy silhouette and adjustable tie straps in the back that can be crossed, knotted, or tied together for a better fit, however you are most comfortable. It is our studios most versatile piece; layer it with a baby tee, long sleeved top, even a chunky knit sweater in the fall or just bare it all in the summer heat. Style it with a distressed denim jean and wear it as a tunic. Pack it in a suitcase and take it on a summer vacation or wear it to the farmers market, paired with a wide-brimmed hat and a basket full of fresh vegetables.
Made from 100% Raw Silk.
Raw Silk is also known as Silk Noil. It is an opaque, somewhat textured fabric, in a natural off-white color. It has a soft nubby texture and a gentle drape. Noil resembles linen or cotton, more so than a silk satin or silk charmeuse, as it is mid weight and has a matte finish.
To best keep your silk noil in its original condition, we recommend dry cleaning. However, silk noil is also the most washable silk! Washed raw silk has a beautiful, soft, lived-in texture. Hand wash or use a gentle machine wash cycle. Hang dry or lay flat to dry.
It is a purely biodegradable and recyclable fabric.
