We believe clothing should be created with care — for the people who wear it and the world it moves through.
At Kepola Design House, garments are made slowly and with intention.
Each piece begins in our small studio in Hawaiʻi, where garments are hand cut and sewn in limited quantities. Rather than producing large seasonal runs, many of our pieces are made to order, allowing us to create thoughtfully while minimizing excess.
Our process is intentionally small and personal — rooted in craftsmanship, natural materials, and a slower rhythm of creation.
Natural Materials
We work primarily with natural fibers such as linen and cotton, chosen for their breathability, durability, and gentle impact on the environment.
These materials age beautifully, soften with wear, and move comfortably with the body. By choosing natural fabrics over synthetic alternatives, we aim to create pieces that feel as good to wear as they are thoughtful to produce.
Small Batch Production
Kepola pieces are produced in small batches or made to order, allowing us to avoid the overproduction that is common in traditional fashion manufacturing.
By creating only what is needed, we are able to reduce excess inventory and focus our energy on quality rather than quantity.
This slower approach allows each garment to be made with care, attention, and intention.
A Low-Waste Process
Because every garment is hand cut, we are able to carefully plan our patterns and reduce unnecessary fabric waste.
Whenever possible, leftover materials are repurposed into smaller pieces or future designs. Our goal is to maintain a low-to-zero waste approach wherever possible within our process.
